The mystery gift... (from the 12/13 post)

OK - so the mysterious gift that we went to a nursery to get... socks! Yep, socks. Ok, ok these are no ordinary socks. And I'm sure they can be found in other places besides the nursery, but that is the first place I saw them and haven't seen them elsewhere. So, what's so special about these socks? Well they are sold in a package of 3 single socks... all different. And if you know Brianna, this would totally drive her crazy. So we decided she just HAD to have a pair (or set, in this case).

So Les and I have had this crazy gift/joke between us for a month or so now and Brianna has made comments about people with mismatched socks. And even their first time out skiing this winter they were listening to a song by Big and Rich. There is a line in there that says "Some people live inside a tiny little box, They're preoccupied about mismatching their socks..." Les said when Brianna heard that she said something like "Ooohhh Noooo" & couldn't believe it was even in a song!

This is the website that we got the socks from. http://www.littlemissmatched.com/ They have lots of cool mismatched things - including snow boots & flip flops! The company all started with the person trying to solve the age-old problem of the missing sock. Fun website to look at!

And, yes we all had our mismatched socks on when we went out to Grandma J's for the afternoon. Brianna handled it quite well I must say. :)
