Last night we met Les after work and took the boat out for a few hours. It was a beautiful evening. It was 89 degrees when we pulled out of the storage unit with the boat. Made for a very comfortable boat ride. Tiffani did jump in and the water was cold and she was chattering when she finally got back into the boat. Les took his turn, too. I stayed warm and dry in the boat. :) Les did finally get me to drive the boat - 1st time for everything! - so he could ski. That went... well, I guess. The first time up he was going along just fine & I kind of freaked out a bit as the boat started "jumping waves" and we were airborne (or so it seemed, really!). I stopped real quick and Les went in real quick! (He did tell me the front of the boat was coming out of the water pretty good!) Yes, I tried again and this time around we went until he couldn't go anymore & finally just dropped the rope. That was pretty fun. We packed a little picnic and planned on eating somewhere at one of the docks. Just ended up at the dock for the boat ramp because all the others had boats/people at them all ready. By the time you get the boat loaded up and put back in the storage unit and get home, it makes for a pretty late night, but well worth it.
6/12/11
6/21/11 - almost 10 days later, a lot less beach left. We had hoped to eat our picnic there, but everyone else had the same idea!
The first time out we went under the High Bridge and followed Highway 21 north up the river. Yesterday we went east to Anderson Dam.
Tiffani taking the plunge! It looks like she's standing on the edge of the boat, but if you make the picture bigger you can see her feet just barely in the water - looks like she's standing on the water!
Swimming to the back of the boat.
As soon as we got to the dock to eat our dinner, this pair of ducks decided to join us. They stayed there the entire time we were eating.
Proof - I was really, actually driving the boat!
While Tiffani was chillin' in the setting sun.
Tiffani took this picture - She loves shots with the suns rays in them.
It was a great evening!
